  • Certificate of quality     

    Hidrogea implements a Quality Management System that adds value to the organisation and provides a framework for setting goals in the following areas within its business scope:

    • The treatment and supply of drinking water and management of associated services (purchasing, storage, distribution, water quality control, maintenance, contracting, meter reading, billing, payment and customer services)
    • Management of the sewer network (maintenance, inspection and refurbishment)
    • Collection, treatment, discharge control and testing of wastewater.
    • Construction of water and other types of works.

    The Hidrogea Quality Management System is certified by standard  ISO 9001:2015.

  • Environmental management certification     

    Hidrogea implements an Environmental Management System that adds value to the organisation and provides a framework for setting goals in the following areas within its business scope:

  • Energy management certification      

    Hidrogea implements an Energy Management System that adds value to the organisation and provides a framework for setting goals in the following areas within its business scope:

    • The supply of drinking water and management of associated services (purchasing, storage, distribution, water quality control, maintenance, contracting, meter reading, billing, payment and customer services)
    • Management of the sewer network (maintenance, inspection and refurbishment)

    The Hidrogea Energy Management System is certified by standard  ISO 50001:2018.

  • Food safety management    

    Hidrogea has a Food Safety Management System that specifies the requirements for demonstrating its capacity to control food safety-related hazards. It is a tool for ensuring water quality through overall risk assessment and management of all stages in the supply chain, from catchment to end consumer.

    Adds value to the organisation and provides a framework for setting goals in the following areas within its business scope:

    • Purchase of water and the transport, storage and distribution of drinking water through supply networks in Cartagena
    • Maintenance of the associated water infrastructures

    The Hidrogea Safety Management System is certified by standard  ISO 22000:2018.

  • Occupational health and safety system certification   

    Occupational health and safety is one of the main concerns in the management of Hidrogea. In our organisation we do not permit the health of our employees, outsourced workers or others to be harmed as a result of our activity. These values are set out in the Occupational Health and Safety policy, which states:

    • The company’s intention to become a benchmark in health and safety in all its areas of activity.
    • The aim is to work together to build a shared occupational health and safety culture among everyone who works in or with Hidrogea.
    • Continuous improvement based on: common basic standards, participation by all interested parties and organisation of implementation, monitoring and measurement.

    Hidrogea implements an Occupational Health and Safety Management System, which ensures continuous improvement in applying measures and developing activities to prevent risks in employees’ work and to comply with current regulations.

    This helps create a suitable working atmosphere with fair working conditions, where employees can carry out their work with dignity and participate in improving health and safety conditions.


    Hidrogea’s Occupational Health and Safety Management System is certified by standard  ISO 45001:2018.

  • Carbon footprint     

    Hidrogea, as the company that manages all the processes in the complete water cycle, promotes efficient and sustainable use of natural and energy resources, contributing to reducing environmental impact and the fight against climate change. To do this, it quantifies the atmospheric GHG emissions from its activity, expressed in terms of CO2 equivalent, with the aim of mitigating them.


    The Carbon Footprint Registry is certified by the Ministry for Ecological Transition.
